Acer has launched its first Chrome OS ChromeBook 13 which was just announced back in June. Nvidia Tegra K1 SoC will be used first time for the Chrome OS. This ChromeBook would feature a 13.3 inch Display with two different configurations viz a Chromebook 13 with 768 x 1366 pixels and one with 1080 x 1920 pixels. Both this Chromebook will cost accordingly to their resolution, Acer ChromeBook 13 with 768 x 1366 pixels resolution will costs you $279 and for the other Chromebook 13 with Full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution will costs you about $299.
Acer ChromeBook 13 will come in grayish-white plastic body which is 0.71 inches thin and it will weigh about 3.31Pounds or 1.5Kilo Grams. It would also feature a big track-pad and a full size keyboard with black keys. Chromebook usually comes with Exynos or Intel Pentium Processors but in case of Acer Chromebook 13 we havea Nvidia Tegra K1 processor which will be fast enough to handle apps and it would also feature a 192 Core GPU for 3D intensive graphics operating and for some games.
Interms of connectivity options, Acer ChromeBook 13 will come with 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI ports and for wireless connectivity you have a WiFi 802.11 ac and 2×2 MIMO antennas. For storage options you have a 16GB SSD onboard and there is 2GB of RAM. Acer has also promised a battery life up to 13Hours on a single charge which could be enough for 2 days of use. The pre orders for the Acer ChromeBook 13 have been started now and will be shipped to you from September onwards.
