Samsung is all set to launch its 10th Anniversary Flagship smartphone ‘Galaxy S10’ on February 20th. Now, it is speculated that Samsung might launch the new phone with blockchain wallet. According to a picture posted by concept designer Ben Geskin, A smartphone which depicts Samsung’s rumored cryptocurrency service, along with a clear image of the Galaxy S10.
In the picture, The Samsung’s KeyStore look likes to be a blockchain wallet. It is implemented in a way that either you can import the wallet, or you can create new wallet. According to the images, the Blockchain KeyStore only lists Ethereum as a supported cryptocurrency.
For those who don’t know what is Ethereum, Ethereum is a decentralized platform for applications that run exactly as programmed without any chance of fraud, censorship or third-party interference.
If we consider the report posted by SamMobile then Samsung blockchain wallet will also support bitcoin, bitcoin cash and Ethereum-derived token ERC20 at launch. The report also claims that Samsung won’t have access to any of the data in the Blockchain KeyStore app, which might be a cold wallet.
You can recover your data using a 12-24-word recovery pin. In order to tighten the security, they have also included a second level authentication system which includes the PIN and fingerprint protection.
Looking closely to all the details provided, it’s been claiming that the phone would surely be Galaxy S10. The phone in the images is unlikely to be the Galaxy S10 Plus, since that device will reportedly feature two front-facing cameras.
Samsung Galaxy 10 will have reverse charging feature that will charge other devices and watches. Galaxy S10 is said to have triple camera setup. It will be coined as “BEYOND 1”. Samsung is going to keep 3.5mm jack which is not the case in Samsung A8s.
When buying a phone, the most important factor is price. But that will all go out of the window when you will see you shiny Samsung Galaxy big screen phones.
The price of Galaxy S10 is said to be started at 699 pounds (i.e. INR 63,000). The pricing for Galaxy S10 with 128 GB of internal space is said to be started at 799 pounds (i.e. approx. INR 70,600) and the one with 512GB of internal space starts at price of 999 pounds (i.e. approx. INR 90,000).
