Sony today started rolling out lollipop update for Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact. This is actually Android 5.0.2 update bringing out several changes to the phone including the all new Material Design. With this roll out, Sony also said that they will bring Lollipop update to entire Xperia Z Series, as said earlier as well. If you are using Z3 or Z3 Compact and haven’t received the update, dont worry, they have just started and it may take to reach your phone in some time as the update goes through across different carriers and countries.
Talking about change log in Lollipop 5.0.2 update, you get new UI, i.e. Material design with all new notifications panel and lock screen as well. With this update installed, you get 3 icons on your lock screen, i.e. Call icon on left swipe and Camera icon on right, while the unlock icon remains in middle. Now we also have Multi user profiles and Guest mode option added to these two phones. Another new feature you get is ‘Android for Work‘ that lets you manage Personal and Professional stuffs separate. There are many more new features Android 5.0 we get with this update.
