In a huge announcement Microsoft revealed that Windows 10 will be available (launch) for download from July 29th 2015. Ofcourse it will be free download for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users. In fact, users who are eligible for Windows 10 have already started getting notifications automatically on their systems.
Using Windows 10 app, you can reserve your Windows 10 upgrade. The app is automatically displayed as a Windows icon on the system tray if you enable the automatic updates option. You can confirm whether your device will support Windows 10, when you make the reservation.
Microsoft said that the files you need for the upgrade will be downloaded when available after you make the reservation, this will certainly make the process of final installation complete faster. Click on the small Windows icon at the right side of taskbar and select “Reserve your free upgrade” when asked. When the upgrade is ready after July 29th, you will receive a notification that will allow you to begin with your upgrade.
Windows will be available for PC’s and tablets and there will be different editions like Windows 10 home, Windows 10 Education, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Pro and more. Windows 10 will introduce Cortana voice companion to PC’s and also new apps for Photos, Videos, Music, Maps, etc. Windows 10 will come with a new browser Microsoft Edge which is faster than the most used Browser. It will also come with Windows Continuum, Windows Hello for secure logins and many more exciting features.

Microsoft revealed Windows 10 the next version of Windows, last year in September. The company had also released the Windows 10 Insider Preview. Microsoft also announced that Windows 10 will be released in 190 countries and in 111 languages. Microsoft had earlier announced that they will provide a free upgrade of Windows 10 for users running Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 if they upgrade within the first year of its release.
Windows 10 is developed to be compatible with the Windows 8.1 laptop, tablet or desktop PCs that are for sale now, says the company. It new PC’s bought after July 29 will come with Windows 10 pre-installed in it.
