Here’s a great news for Windows lovers. Microsoft Windows 10 will officially launch on July 29th.
Starting from the first, Microsoft had revealed that Windows 10 will be free for everyone using Windows 7 and Windows 8, irrespective of whether they are genuine users or not.
Later they changed their statement and said that genuine Windows 10 upgrade will be available to users owning genuine Windows 7 and Windows 8 and pirated users won’t be able to upgrade.
In their latest blog post, they explained everything about the update, how it will happen and also about the activation of Windows 10 for Insider users. Microsoft had never informed or released anything about users who have clean updated and installed Windows 10 Insider Preview on their systems. Microsoft have indicated indirectly that if you use the Windows Insider 10 Preview build v.10130 and if you have a Microsoft Account, then you are entitled to update to Windows 10.
Now news for Windows XP OR Windows Vista installed systems, users using either of the two OS in their systems can register on Microsoft Account and then install the Insider Preview on your system and thus get the free upgrade later when it is released. The Windows 10 update will come as a notification in Windows Update of your system.
“As long as you are running an Insider Preview build and connected with the MSA you used to register, you will receive the Windows 10 final release build and remain activated. Once you have successfully installed this build and activated, you will also be able to clean install on that PC from final media if you want to start over fresh.”
Stated the Windows blog indirectly telling that the users using Insider preview will get the update for free.
Further telling about the activations and more the blog detailed “Windows Insiders will continue to receive future flights as we begin to work on the next release immediately after Windows 10 ships. You’ll get to see the latest Windows fixes, features, and updates and give us feedback.”
