Google today rolled out the last Developer Preview 5 for Android N, which is now officially named as Android 7.0 Nougat. This Developer Preview is the final and last one to hit the Nexus devices, next we will see Android Nougat which may launch in September with new Nexus smartphones. Google last month released Developer Preview 4 which came with final APIs (API level 24).
The new Developer Preview 5 (build NPD90G) for Android N is compatible with Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, and Pixel C devices and General Mobile 4G (Android One). It can be downloaded right away via Android Beta Program or from the official Android Developer Website.
The DP5 doesn’t seems to bring any new feature but only bug fixes and optimizations. However, Google said users might face issues with multi-window, camera, DND, Vulkan, Android Auto bugs and minor stability issues with this Developer Preview. They also said “This preview gives developers the near-final system updates for all of the supported preview devices, helping you get your app ready for consumers,”
