Acer has revealed the new ‘Acer Jade Primo’ smartphone running Windows 10 for Phones OS. It can also be said their first ‘Pocket PC’ or ‘PC Phone’. All thanks to Microsoft Continuum. As we all know Continuum lets you enable Phone to PC Mode offering you desktop like UI on smartphones as well. Jade Primo is not just Acer’s but probably world’s first smartphone bringing Continuum to phone.
Talking about specifications, the new Acer Jade Primo sports a Snapdragon 808 processor along with 5.5 inch AMOLED display. It also carries a huge 21 Megapixel primary camera and an 8 Megapixel front facing shooter.
As of now Acer has not announced anything about the pricing or availability of Jade Prime. But they did said the phone will come pre-bundled with several accessories that includes keyboard, wireless mouse and the docking station itself. You just need to dock the phone and start using it on big screen, just like a desktop Windows 10 computer. Of course the phone will be running Universal apps.
Doesn’t it sounds like the beginning of Pocket PC era?
