Announced last year at CES 2015, finally today at CES 2016 Asus revealed that its camera centric smartphone ‘Asus ZenFone Zoom’ will hit the US stores starting this February at the price of $399. The phone will come in 2 variants, i.e. 64GB and 128GB. The price of 64GB variant is $399 as mentioned, while the 128GB price is still unknown. Users will get the phone in White and Black color choices.
Paced in Aluminium unibody frame with a leather rear cover, Asus ZenFone Zoom sports a 5.5 inch Full HD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It comes out of the box running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and powered up by 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 / 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3590 processor. It is further coupled up with massive 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and PowerVR G6430 GPU that makes the phone a powerhouse in all aspects, whether it is performance, multitasking or HD gaming.
Asus wants their users don’t worry at all about the storage. So, the phone comes in 64GB and 128GB internal storage variant and still if you feel shortage, expand the memory up to 128GB using MicroSD card. As per connectivity, Asus Zenfone Zoom (ZX551ML) supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC. It is backed up with 3000mAh battery having ASUS BoostMaster fast charging.
Coming to the main highlight of the phone, Asus Zenfone Zoom comes with a 13 Megapixel primary camera having 3X optical zoom letting you zoom the photos extremely without loosing the quality. On the front facing, the Selfie fans get a 5 Megapixel shooter.

[Update] : Asus ZenFone Zoom with 3X optical zoom launched in India today starting the price of Rs. 37,999/- Users get will get two color options including Pure Black and Ceramic White with leather back. It will go on sale from next month, i.e. February 2016 via Flipkart. Users willing to buy Zenfone Zoom with Zenflash and Tripod will have to pay Rs. 39,999.
