While Moto G4 Play which is scheduled to launch in India in next few days, Motorola today has announced Moto Z Play today at IFA 2016. It was appeared in Live images couple of weeks ago. The new Moto Z Play will be available starting September 8 in US as Moto Z Play Droid Edition via Verizon at the price of $408 ($17/month). It will also be exclusive via motorola.com. Regular pricing of the phone will be $449.99 which is approximately Rs. 30,100 in US, while in Europe it will cost 499 Euros. The phone will be available in 6 different color choices including Black, Silver, White, Fine Gold , Sugar White and Black Slate.
Moto Z Play is a mid ranged smartphones with impressive specifications including 3GB RAM, 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625, expandable up to 2TB and more. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution with 403 ppi pixel density. It comes out of the box running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
As per imaging, Moto Z Play comes with 16 Megapixel rear camera having dual-tone LED flash, Laser Autofocus, PDAF, 1.3um pixel and f/2.0 aperture. While on the front facing we get a 5 Megapixel Selfie camera with Wide-Angle lens and LED flash of its own. It also seems pretty good in connectivity part supporting 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC and USB Type-C port. The phone is powered with 3510mAh battery with Turbo charging support.
The new Moto Z Play also supports Moto Mods, which were launched earlier with Moto Z and Moto Z Force. Moto Mods are modular accessories like LG Friends.
