As we know Google launched Android M at the Google I/O 2015 yesterday. Here’s a great news for Google Nexus 5, 6, 9 or Player ( for TV) users. Google has released Android M Developer Preview which is now available for Download and install.
Android M Features:
- Android M has come up with a new model for app permissions which will cut down the process of installing , updating apps and also for access permissions for users.
- App Links a feature will allow app developers to associate their app with their own website which will surely improve link handling.
- Another new feature in Google Now, ‘NOW ON TAP’ which will provide required information in a single click.
- Other features include Android Pay, Fingerprint, new assist technology and many power saving features like Doze and App Standby, etc.
- New Google Play Services v.7.5.
- Android M also comes with a backup feature for apps ( up to 25MB per Android app) in Google Drive and many other exciting features.
Once you have flashed, it will be automatically upgraded with the next preview release through over-the-air (OTA) updates. The second preview will be available late June or early July, followed by the third and final preview in July. The final release will take place in Q3 and will be available to users later in October or November.
