Idea mobile launched their two new mid range smartphones named as “ID 920” at Rs. 4,950 which is the upgraded version of ID 918 and “Aurus III” at Rs. 6990 which is also the upgraded version of Aurus II. Both the devices seems to be mid range smartphones with basic configuration.
Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system Idea ID 920 comes with 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen display offering 320 x 480 pixels resolutions. It is a Dual Sim smartphone powered with 1 GHz processor and just 256Mb of RAM from which we can expect basic day to day tasks. As per storage the device offers just 100MB of builtin memory that can be expanded upto 32GB using MicroSD Card. However ID 920 seems good in connectivity options with support of 3G (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Running on 1400 mAh battery we cannot expect very good battery life from the device.

Second device Idea Aurus III is running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with 4 inch capacitive touch screen display offering 480 x 800 pixels resolutions. It is also a Dual SIM phone and comes with 5 megapixel rear camera as well as 0.3 megapixel front facing camera for making video calls. Aurus 3 is also powered with the same 1 GHz processor but bit improved RAM, 512MB. In terms of storage we get 1.4GB built-in memory with expansion slot supporting upto 32GB using MicroSD. As far as connectivity is concerned it supports 3G (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Though the configuration is bit better than ID 920, they have provided the same 1400 mAh battery in this device.
