At Unpacked Event 2019 yesterday in San Francisco, Samsung launched its much awaited 10th Anniversary phone including Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. But along with that, company also launched its first ever 5G phone named ‘Samsung Galaxy S10 5G’. The phone seems very impressive in terms of specifications as well as design. It is as powerful as the middle variant, Galaxy S10.
The new Galaxy S10 5G comes out of the box running Android 9.0 Pie with company’s own all new One UI that adds a bunch of new features along with improved and smarter Bixby. It is the largest phone in the S10 series featuring a 6.7 inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with HDR10+ offering 3040 × 1440 pixels resolution and 505ppi pixel density. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for longer durability.
Similar to S10 and S10+, the new S10 5G also comes with In-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor. It is IP68 rated Water and Dust resistant phone too giving you freedom to use your phone as you want. Samsung has powered it up with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU and Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9820 8nm processor with Mali-G76 MP12 GPU (for few regions). It is further accompanied by 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 512GB internal storage memory (UFS 2.1). Yes, just one single variant. Since it is a 5G phone, there’s also Snapdragon X50 Modem for muti-gigabit 5G connectivity for both Sub-6 GHz and mmWave frequency bands.
Talking about Cameras, S10 5G comes with 12 Megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.4-f/1.5 variable aperture and OIS along with secondary 12 Megapixel Telephoto lens with 45° FoV, f/2.4 aperture and a 16 Megapixel 123° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture with 0.5X/2X optical zoom, up to 10X digital zoom and 3D Depth sensor for better Video Live focus and Quick Measure. On the front facing, we get a 10 Megapixel Dual Pixel Selfie shooter with 80° wide-angle lens, f/1.9 aperture and 3D Depth sensor.
Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is powered up with 4,500mAh battery having 25W Super fast Charging on wired as well as wireless (WPC and PMA). Just like other variants, this phone also supports Wireless PowerShare feature letting you share your battery charge to other QI compatible phones by just touching the backs of the phone. Other features this phone carries are Bixby, Samsung Health, Samsung Dex and more.
