1. VIA HDMI:
The most basic way to connect your TV to phone is through HDMI. HDMI cable can be easily connected to HDMI port provided in your TV to transfer audio and video. The phone doesn’t have HDMI port. So you need to connect adapter which is easily available in market. The adapter will help you in connecting HDMI port to you USB type C, micro USB, or lighting ports. If you are using a Tablet, then usually they come with HDMI port by default.
2. Via USB:
Another option would be to connect the mobile phone to TV via USB. Most of the TVs today come with Two or atleast one USB port by default. You can directly connect the phone and TV via USB without any hassle. This feature let you transfer photos and videos rather than the screen. Perform the following steps for the same. 3. Connect to the TV with Wireless Casting:
If you don’t want to mess with wires and want to directly stream the content from your phone or tablet to TV, then use this option. The network of both the device should be same.
There are various applications available in market for the same. Apps like AllCast helps you directly connect TV with a mobile phone. Any android phone with a version higher than 4.2 and windows version higher than 8.1 will support the Miracast feature which a technology that wirelessly share content from one screen to another.
With this technology in phone, you can cast your mobile screen to the TV screen. Just go to settings, then go to Cast.
Enable Wireless Display to check the device which are in range. There are few other devices also available in the market such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast etc. These devices are plugged into the TV via HDMI port which can be further connected to Android 4.4.2 and above.
4. Via AirPlay (iOS)
Last but not the least, the apple devices can be connected using Airplay. AirPlay is a proprietary protocol stack/suite developed by Apple Inc. that allows wireless streaming between devices of audio, video, device screens, and photos. These are designed specifically for Apple devices. You can very easily cast your Iphones’ screen on Apple TV.
