Hardware and Performance:
Coming to the most important section of the review, whole performance of the phone rely on this section. Karbonn A11 star is introduced with MediaTek chipset which was quite understood and chipset is installed with Dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. Most of the smartphone on the same price segment is offered with Quad-core processor and atleast 1GB RAM but Karbonn is falling far behind in the race.
Operation on this phone very sluggish and results in noticeable response time in execution of event fired. Touch of the phone is also very slow which makes phone to have very bad performance. Internal memory of the phone is 4GB to store your favorite data which can be expanded with the help of microSD card.
Operating System:
Phone is running on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat which is only plus feature of this phone but latest OS also don’t help much. Service like Google Play service are pre-installed in this phone but there are other preinstalled apps like Quick office, K Apps, Flipkart, OLX, Opera Mini and many more already placed in this phone. UI of the phone is simple and is quite different with other phones powered by MediaTek chipsets.
Battery Life:
Battery of the phone plays a vital role because all other hardware of the phone depends on the battery of the phone. Powerful the battery is longer the operation on phone is possible but Karbonn has let down in this section also as we found battery drains quickly while browsing web on Wi-Fi. Normal operation also drains battery quickly and allows you to stay with your phone for not more than 6 hours.
Conclusion:
Karbonn A11 star is not a good choice to have as it has plenty of drawback like poor display, average form of the phone, low hardware specs and poor battery backup will lead this phone to be unsuccessful in the market. RAM is quite low which won’t allow you to multitask efficiently; smartphone without smart features will be of no use. Price of the phone is affordable but phone is not valuable for money.
