The 22-year-old singer, Rebecca Black, is mainly known for her song “Friday” that went viral rapidly almost a decade ago. Many made fun of her then, calling it “the worst song ever”, but Rebecca actually turned into a great singer.
She announced the big news on the podcast Dating Straight, admitting that she identifies as queer. She said that she was always “a little more on the gay side” and recently had a romantic relationship with a girl.
The YouTube star feels like the word “queer” is perfect for her because, like she said: “Some days I feel a little more on the gay side than others.”
“I have dated a lot of different types of people, and I don’t really know what the future holds,” she confessed.
Black also told that she never planned to come out officially, it was more like, as she said: “I made a conscious decision to not, like, “come out,” but just to, like… people started asking and I just stopped not responding.”
