With Windows 10, Microsoft is really working hard to make it the best operating system for the world. They are releasing Windows 10 this summer in 190 countries with several new features, security, and lots more. Today Microsoft introduced yet another new feature called “Windows Hello”. This is a new Biometric based Sign-in option to Windows 10 running devices by using your finger-prints, your Face or your Iris. This means, no more need to use Pins or Passwords.
Microsoft assures us about the security level because whatever sign-in options Windows Hello uses are stored locally on your Device hardware ONLY. It never goes to the server or any network. Apart from security, Windows Hello also gives you instant access to the device. For example, if youi have locked the system with your Face, simply come infront of it and system unlocks in a second. This is what Microsoft has to say on their blog:
With Windows Hello, you’ll be able to just show your face, or touch your finger, to new devices running Windows 10 and be immediately recognized. And not only is Windows Hello more convenient than typing a password—it’s more secure! Our system enables you to authenticate applications, enterprise content, and even certain online experiences without a password being stored on your device or in a network server at all.

Microsoft also revealed “Microsoft Passport”. This is also a similar security option like Windows Hello. With Passport, you dont need to login in apps that requires passwords or pins to work. They will simply recognize your face and react.
