After the huge success of Mi4 and Mi4i, Xiaomi is about to launch the successor Xiaomi Mi 5 and its bigger variant Mi 5 Plus. China’s most popular smartphone company which is considered as ‘Apple of China’ is planning to launch both these new smartphones next month in July, however, it will hit the market probably by October – November this year.
These new devices are expected to come with better specifications and bigger screen compared to last year’s flagship Mi 4.
According to the reports and rumors, Xiaomi Mi 5 will feature a 5.2 inch display and will be powered with Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor accompanied by with 3GB of RAM. The rear camera will see a bump to 16 Megapixels (compared to 13MPin Mi 4). It will use a 3,000mAh battery. Also there are rumors suggesting that it will have Fingerprint ID technology.
As being said, there would be a bigger variant as well code named Mi 5 Plus. It would feature a 6 inch display with 2K resolution, and a bezel-less design. It is expected to use a processor similar to the Mi 5, i.e Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 along with 4GB of RAM making it a real powerhouse. It will have a 16 megapixel camera but with Optical Image Stabilization.
