After being in rumors and leaks for so long, finally the brand new Gionee S6 is now official. Being just 6.9mm slim, the phone is just announced in China and will go on sale from November 22nd at 1699 Yuan, i.e. approximately $266 or Rs. 17,500/- It will be available in Gold and Platinum colours.
On of the highlights of Gionee S6 is its slimness. It is just 4mm at its thinnest point and 6.9mm at its thickest point. Its height is 151.9mm while the width is 74.6mm, which is exact of iPhone 6 Plus. Also the screen to body ratio is 77.8% which makes it the best and appears bezel less. Coming to its power and other specifications, the phone sports a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED Display offering 1280 x 720 pixel ration.
Gionee S6 comes out of the box running Android 5.1.1 with company’s own AMIHO OS 3.1 and supports Hybrid Dual SIM card slots. Gionee has powered the phone with 1.3GHz Mediatek Octa-Core MT6753 Processor paired up by 3GB RAM and Mali T-720 GPU making it quite better in performance and multitasking. Users dont even need to worry about the storage because of its built-in 32GB Memory. The external sim slot supports microSD Card up to 128GB.
In the camera department, Gionee S6 carries a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and supports Full HD 1080 pixel video recording. The front camera provided is 5 Megapixel for Selfie fans. As per connectivity, it is a 4G LTE enabled smartphone also supporting standard connectivity options such as 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, as well as Reversible USB Type-C 2.0 Port. Gionee has backed up the device with 3150mAH Battery.
