After integrating Voice calling feature to the worlds most popular IM Client, WhatsApp, developers are now working hard to bring Video Call feature to it as well. Today a report revealed by GermanBlog shows video call screen in the WhatsApp client. So, we can expect the global roll out of this feature very soon in near future.
WhatsApp Video Calling is likely to be arrive first for iOS users, followed by Android. And probably we will be able to see it in version 2.12.16.2. As of now, the latest version available on iOS is 2.12.12. It should be available in next 2 to 3 updates, i guess.
According to the screenshots, we see a small thumbnail of our own with three buttons, i.e for Mic, Camera switching and disconnect button at the bottom. It is also being said that the new update might bring new design as well that may contain multiple chat tabs. This will help users to switch to new chat without pressing the back button. Just like we see in the new Chrome browser.
Just like users waited so long for Voice calls in WhatsApp, its Video Calling features is much awaited too. Let us know if you are excited, like us, for making video calls using WhatsApp.
