As scheduled, Xiaomi has officially launched their latest flagship smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 5. It is not just a smartphone, but a Beast that cost just the half of Samsung Galaxy S7. The phone will be available in China starting from March 1st. It comes in three different variants in terms of storage and RAM, and hence its price differs too. Let’s find out the same:

Coming to the specifications, Xiaomi Mi 5 features a 5.15 inch Full HD display with curved glass, 95% of the NTSC color gamut and 600 nits brightness offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. You will surely enjoy watching movies or paying games on such amazing display. It is a Dual SIM smartphone supporting both Nano sim cards and comes out of the box running Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7. The software carries amazing features with it too. For the first time, any Xiaomi smartphone carries a physical Home button and that too with Fingerprint scanner integrated with it offering better security.

Xiaomi has powered the new Mi 5 with two difference Snapdragon processors (variants) as we saw above in the pricing section. But both of them are Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core 64-bit processors accompanied by Adreno 530 GPU. Furthermore, as mentioned above, Mi 5 has a variant with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB or 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage, and a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage variant. You should not even doubt about performance or multitasking on this phone with such powerful processing.
Coming to the camera section, Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 16 Megapixel primary shooter with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and 4-axis OIS. Not only you get stunning pictures with this camera but also record Ultra HD 4K videos. On the front facing, the phone carries a 4 Megapixel Selfie shooter with 2um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
