Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi 3 Pro, which is obviously the pro version of Redmi 3 which was launched in January this year. The successor comes with really good improvements that includes 3GB of RAM, Fingerprint scanner and more. Redmi 3 Pro will be available in China starting April 6th in Gray, Silver and Gold color choices at the price of 899 yuan, that is $138 or Rs. 9,200/-
Dont get confused between Redmi 3 Pro and Redmi Note 3 Pro. Sounds very similar, right? Coming to the specifications, there is actually not much difference between Redmi 3 and Pro variant. The only upgrade done are 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and the Fingerprint sensor. Rest all specifications are exactly same in the both the phones.
The new Redmi 3 Pro comes with the same 5 inch HD IPS display offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, it is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor. The phone supports the same 128GB microSD card, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS + GLONASS and is running on 4100mAh battery.
As per camera, it has the same 13 Megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video recording and a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording. However, the upgrades done in RAM and introducing Fingerprint sensor really makes the Pro version superior.
