Huawei has launched a new budget 4G smartphone today in China named ‘Honor 5‘. The phone will be available in China from tomorrow, August 2, at the price of 599 Yuan that is approximately $90 or Rs. 6,000. It comes in three color choices including White, Black and Gold.
Honor 5 is a Dual SIM phone and is running on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s own Emotion UI 3.1 Lite. It features a 5 inch HD IPS display and powered with 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6735P processor. We also get a dedicated easy key on left side of the phone that offers quick access to flashlight by double tapping, single tap to launch camera or long press to launch any specific app.
The processing unite is further accompanied by 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU making it quite good for multitasking and performance. The phone has 16GB built-in storage memory which can be expanded up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
For photography fans, the new Honor 5 carries an 8 Megapixel primary camera with dual LED Flash. While on front facing we get a 2 Megapixel Selfie camera with LED flash of its own allowing you to capture brighter pictures in low light as well. It is a 4G VoLTE smartphone also supporting 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The phone is running on 2200mAh battery.
