Cortana is a Virtual Personal Assistant for smartphones from Microsoft. Just like Apple’s Siri and Google’s Google Now, Cortana was launched couple of years ago for Windows Phone. Now it is making its to Android as well.
Cortana was scheduled to be released (starting with beta version) officially at the end of this month, but somehow it got leaked on web. We tested it on several Android smartphones, including Galaxy S5, and it works really great. However, being Beta version, the hot word “Hey Cortana” isn’t working now. Rest all features are working great. The Cortana features and functionality will keep improving with the further development of the app.
At the official release time, Microsoft will roll out the Beta version for both Android and iOS. But as of now, if you want to test it out, you can download the app right away in just one click from this page and install it manually on your phone.
