Android 5.0 Lollipop is the new android version that will be coming up for various phone and tablets. Here before there was a lot of discussion about Android L. Where Google was working on a entirely new mobile OS. But it is conformed that Android 5.0 Lollipop is Android L. It was a preview edition that you had seen before and now this one will work on most of the devices which support it. There were also rumors that Android L will be a 64bit OS which is not at all true. Here the motive is to give a clear UI and improved user interaction with the device. Without with using a phone is not easy. Because each time a new device comes with new features and so the OS must be upgraded to bring the same benefits. 
So here we will be seeing some of the new features of Android 5.0 Lollipop. The release date is linked with Nexus 9 and Nexus 6. You can select which one you want to see first and which you want to ignore. It will be a very easy to interact with the same and you can also take instant actions while using the app. The new notification system is easy to use and will be very special for Android 5.0 Lollipop. Because the thin UI that is strictly related with this productivity features.
A few things that will act as add-on is smart watch. Now this will help you to unlock your device whenever it hears your voice. That means you can now unlock the device with your audio. The interface is also nice here. But this Os will be a bit heavy for old phones. It might consume battery also. Because of its 3D views. New additions in the UI make it heavy. At many parts you are going to see shadows and 3D animation.
I am not sure whether there is any option to disable that, but this new UI is very accurately design. For high end phone this will be huge treat. Google Material design is implemented so that you can use various Google apps on the same. Another thing smatters a lot here is improved battery life. New phones will be optimized to work with Android 5.0 Lollipop. But on the same hand old phones will have to struggle to get adjust. Here it depends on the manufacturer how well they will be porting the OS to the device. Most of the features of Android 5.0 Lollipop will work well on 64-bit processors so that you get fast app output.
But on the same hand Google has also worked on the power usage. Those who use their phone for gaming will get great performance and also on the same hand the Battery Saver app will work smartly to manage maximum power. The OS is also compatible with old apps and games. New Os does not means that old games will not work. It is backward compatible. Google has worked on improving the security also. So that you get all latest virus protection on your phone directly. They had integrated a new system called as kill switch. That mean from remote you can simply lock your phone, you can reset it. This might not be a new feature but it is helpful for many. The current device manager on the Google Play is not so helpful.
