LG has finally revealed its latest Flagship ‘LG G4‘ as per its schedule. There is no word on its pricing or release date, but the phone will be available in different color choices including Silk White, Metallic Black, and Shine Gold. LG has really worked hard to make it impressive by upgrading the whole device, from design to its power, or from features to camera. Let’s take a look:
Software:
LG G4 comes out of the box with most recent Android 5.1 Lollipop OS which is having several new features of its own. On top of it, the phone has all new LG UX 4.0 skin offering some more extra features including Smart Board, Smart Alerts, Expert Camera mode, Quick shot and lots more. It also carries the LG’s proprietary tools including Knock On, KnockCode, and health app.

Display and Design:
LG G4 sports an amazing 5.5 inch Quantum LCD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for better durability by protecting it from scratches and cracks. It offers 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution with 534 ppi pixel density making the display about 50% higher in contrast compared to G3 and 25% brighter as well.
Talking about the design, as being said, LG has changed it completely. While many were expecting metal body in G4, it came with polycarbonate body. The rear panel is build up with textured scratch resistant material. LG also offers some genuine leather back panel with G4. The phone is slightly curved and having 74.3% screen to body ratio. Also the company’s trend of putting Volume rockers and Power button at rear panel continues.
Processing Power:
LG has powered LG G4 with 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset and 3GB of RAM making the phone a better powerhouse to compete with other flagship smartphones in the market. There’s also an Adreno 418 GPU allowing you to play HD Games comfortably. As per storage, G4 comes with built-in 32GB memory. This can be further expanded using upto 128GB microSD card.
Camera:
Compared to 13MP in G3, LG has improved the camera in LG G4 making it 16 Megapixel powered with wide f/1.8 aperture, Dual color spectrum sensor, laser autofocus and OIS 2.0. The new F 1.8 aperture allows to receive 80% more light making the picture visible clearly in low lights as well. They also released a Video showing F 1.8 factor. Furthermore, the Dual color spectrum sensor adjust the color temperature automatically by reading RGB and infrared light. We can record videos in 2160 pixel @30fps and 1080 pixel videos @60fps. If you are fan of panoramas, G4 can impress you by capturing Panoramas up to 104 Megapixel. The secondary camera provided in LG G4 is LG is 8 Megapixel. Well, this is surely going to one of the best selfie shooter. It is also being said that LG G4 camera could be a big threat for Samsung’s Flagship camera phones, including Galaxy S6.
Connectivity & Battery:
Just like all those impressive specs, LG G4 stands tall in connectivity options supporting Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, A2DP, LE, apt-X, A-GPS, GLONASS and NFC. The phone supports LTE bands with Cat 6 speeds offering 300Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink. Other features in G4 are IR blaster, FM radio with RDS and more.
