Just after a month introducing the phone in China, Huawei today officially launched all new ‘Honor 6X’ for global markets which will go on sale starting today, January 4th. The phone seems premium with pretty good and powerful specifications. It is also dedicated for Pro camera users with Dual cameras located at rear facing and a Selfie camera on front.
Honor 6X is going on sale from today in selected countries including USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Although India was listed in the list but there’s no confirmation about the availability. The phone comes in two variants that also makes the difference in prices.
The Honor 6X with 3GB/32GB storage costs $ 249.99 / EUR 249 that is approximately Rs. 17,000. While the 4GB/64GB storage variant will cost $ 299.99 / EUR 299 which is Rs. 20,500 approximately.
That being said, Huawei is offering the 3GB variant at just $199.99 for the first 300 buyers of the phone. That’s not all. They also get Honor 6X Case, Engine Earphones and a Selfie Stick absolutely free bundled with the phone.
Talking about the phone’s specification, Honor 6X comes out of the box running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei’s own EMUI 4.1 on top of it and features a Full HD 5.5 inch IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It has Hybrid Dual SIM slots with 4G VoLTE support, meaning you can buy it for Reliance Jio as well.
Huawei has powered the phone with Octa-core Kirin 655 ( 4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) 16nm processor accompanied by Mali T830-MP2. As said, it has 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB (eMMC 5.1) storage variant and a 4GB RAM with 64GB (eMMC 5.1) storage variant. Both variants can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. There’s also a Fingerprint sensor located at rear facing that takes just 0.3 seconds to unlock the phone.
Now coming to the photography, Honor 6X sports a 12 Megapixel primary camera with LED Flash, 6P lens, 1.25um pixel size, aperture F/0.95-F/16 and PDAF accompanied by 2 Megapixel secondary camera to achieve depth of field and background blur. For Selfie fans, there’s also an 8 Megapixel front-facing camera. The phone is packed inside a metal design unibody and is backed up with 3,340mAh battery supporting fast charging. Huawei promises to offer more than 2 days battery backup with normal use and 1.5 days battery life with heavy usage.
