We have been reading rumors and leaks about the next Galaxy Flagship from Samsung, i.e. Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ since few months now. Finally, Samsung has set its Unpacked 2018 Event for February 25th, which is the same date when HMD global has scheduled an event for Nokia 9 launch.
Earlier it was rumored to be somewhere in March but since Samsung has already sent out the invites, the date is confirmed ahead of the expected. The invitation says, “The Camera. Reimagined.” From which we can expect the company is going to bring some powerful camera features with its new flagship. Regarding this, even the company has said “that the event will showcase the next generation of Galaxy devices that reimagines the camera and redefines the way you share your moments.”
Well, we will get to know what new technology we are going to see in Mobile photography at the event. As of now, talking about other specifications, Galaxy S9 is said to be featuring 5.8-inch, while S9+ will have 6.2-inch curved-edge Super AMOLED Infinity displays. The phones are said to be powered by Snapdragon 845 for US and Chinese market. While rest of the world will get Exynos 9 Series 9810 chipset variant. As per memory, the phone will get 4GB RAM with 64GB storage memory. Probably, there will be a 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant too.
Furthermore, the phones should come out of the box running Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s own Galaxy Experience U.I. Though the camera is going to be the flagship of this flagship, what we expect so far will be a super speed Dual Pixel 12 Megapixel camera with OIS. There will be variable F1.5/2.4 aperture. Other features of the phones include IP68 rating making it Water and Dust proof phone, 3000mAh battery and DeX Pad docking station.
