Reliance dominated the entire Indian telecom industry with the launch of its Jio VoLTE services. Now last year, they launched the affordable Jio Phone with same unlimited calls and data feature. Since the launch they have offered the cheapest calls/data plans in India compared to other telecom providers.
Today, Reliance Jio has launched a new and the most affordable monthly plan, i.e. priced at Rs. 49. It is only available for Jio Phone users. At Rs. 49, the pack offers 28 days validity with unlimited voice calls and unlimited 4G data with 1GB cap of high speed data. Earlier there was a plan of Rs. 153 offering 1GB data with unlimited voice calls.
On this launch, the company said, “This Republic Day will mark an acceleration towards achieving the vision of Digital Freedom for the 50 Crore feature phone users of India. This will be achieved in three ways – Connectivity, Data Affordability and Device Affordability.”
Since Rs. 49 pack is only available for Jio Phone users, other Jio users can avail Rs. 98 pack which offers the same 28 days validity with Unlimited voice calls. Only difference is that you get only 2GB 4G data for 28 days. However, after 2GB data you get slower unlimited data.
Jio has also increased the Data and validity in current plans on this Republic day. For example, with Rs. 399 plan now we get 84 days validity with 1.5GB data/day. Which used to be 70 days with 1GB/day. Jio has revised many other plans.
