Meizu MX5e is the bit lower variant of last year’s Meizu MX5. Priced at 1499 Yuan, that is approximately $230 or Rs. 15,300, the new MX5e is packed with the same metal body with magnesium alloy frame just like its original variant. It comes out of the box running Android 5.0 Lollipop based Flyme OS 4.5 and supports Dual 4G SIM cards. The phone features a 5.5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for better protection.
The phone also has mTouch 2.0 fingerprint recognition integrated with the physical home button at front bottom. Meizu has powered MX5e with MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor accompanied by 3GB of RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU making it quite good in performance and multitasking. As per storage, the phone comes with 16Gb and 32GB on-board storage memory options. There doesn’t seems to be expandable memory slot provided.
In the camera department, Meizu MX5e carries a 16 Megapixel primary camera with dual tone LED Flash, Laser Auto focus and 6P lenses capable to record up to 4K Ultra HD video recording. For Selfie fans, the phone has a 5 Megapixel front facing shooter with f/2.0 aperture allowing you to capture stunning pictures.
As per connectivity Meizu MX5e supports 4G LTE (TD-LTE / LTE-FDD) along with 3G HSPA+ , WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The phone is backed up with 3150mAh battery with mCharge support.
