Intex has launched a new entry level budget smartphone called ‘Intex Cloud Gem Plus’ which is priced at just Rs. 3,299. It comes with very low end specifications that starts with a 4 inch WVGA display offering 800 x 480 pixels resolution with 240 PPi Pixel density. However, the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for longer durability. It is a Dual SIM smartphone coming out of the box with Android 5.1 Lollipop having Intex’s own Custom UI on top of it.
Intex has powered Cloud Gem Plus with 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580M Quad core processor accompanied by 512MB of RAM and Mali-400 GPU. Though we cannot expect much with such processing power but that’s what we get at such affordable price. As per storage, it comes with 4GB internal storage memory out of which only 1GB is available for user’s excess and rest goes to the system. but we can used MicroSD card up to 32GB as external storage.
Being entry level budget phone, Cloud Gem Plus comes with just 2 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash. There is also a 2 Megapixel front facing camera for video calling. The phone is packed with 1400mAh battery which is said to be offering up to 4 hours of talk time and standby up to 400 hours. In terms of connectivity, it supports only basic connectivity options that includes 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port.
