As reported earlier, Apple is expected to release new iPads in today’s event but something unusual happened just before the launch event. New iOS 8.1 user guide in the iBooks store contains the images of iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.
As per screenshots of the iOS 8.1 user guide there is no change in the designs of both the iPads. The home button will now have Touch ID sensor in it. The burst mode feature which was introduced by Apple in the iPhone 5S will make it’s make its debut on the new iPad Air.
Another thing what these images show that Apple will name their new iPad Air as iPad Air 2 and the next gen iPad mini will be known as iPad mini 3. Since it’s an iOS 8.1 user guides which strongly indicates that Apple Pay might drop in today’s event.
Apart from Touch ID and burst mode for the camera, a golden iPad and faster A8X chip is also expected in today’s town hall event.
