It was in rumors since couple of weeks but not it is official. Micromax has launched the first ever CyanogenMod OS powered YU smartphone named ‘Micromax’s YU YUREKA’. This could be a huge success for the brand because of its powerful hardware, better camera and large screen at budget price. Micromax has launched the phone at the price of just Rs. 8,999/-
Micromax YUREKA will be available from 2nd week of January 2015 exclusively on Amazon. As this could be the market breaker, just like Redmi 1S, users willing to buy YUREKA will have to register on Amazon which will start tomorrow, December 19th at 2PM. Remember, Micromax YUREKA will only be sold Online on Amazon, not with any retailer.
Talking about the hardware and specifications, Micromax’s YU YUREKA features a HD 5.5 inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Watching movies or pictures on this video will surely be great experience. It is a Dual SIM phone is running on Android 4.4 KitKat based CyanogenMod OS 11 for the first time on any Micromax phone.
The phone is powered with Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) clocked at ARM Cortex A53 – 4×1.5GHz + 4×1.0GHz. This is accompanied by 2GB DDR3 RAM and Adreno 405 GPU that makes the phone powerful enough for running any heavy applications or HD game comfortably without any problem.
