At Computex 2015, Asus announced ZenWatch 2 smartwatch, successor of Asus Zenwatch which was launched 6 months ago. Very similar to its predecessor in design, ZenWatch 2 comes in two different sizes to fit either 22 or 18 mm watch bands which measures 49 x 41mm and 45 x 37mm respectively. Both these new watches sports an AMOLED display with the very slightly curved 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3.
Both of these ZenWatch 2 models are made of stainless steel and both will come in silver, gun metal or rose gold finishes, with a choice of metal, leather or rubber straps. It is powered by Qualcomm Processor and has has IP67 water resistant rating whereas original watch had IP55 water resistance rating. It runs on latest version of Android wear 5.1.
ZenWatch 2 also has many new features like it allows users to create their own watch faces with ‘Watch Face App’ and comes with built-in ‘wellness’ app for health tracking.
