HERE maps has announced that its latest update, which started rolling out for Android and IOS, includes reversible lanes, bug fixes and performance improvements. HERE is rolling out the updated version of its Maps via Google PlayStore.
All major cities use Express lanes for making it easier for their citizens, to move from one place to another during rush hours. Such reverse lanes are constructed on the top of major highways and they are used to offer additional routes to the drivers. This new feature in HERE maps will show different routes that drivers can take during rush hours. It will also show traffic conditions on different lanes and highways across cities. This will enable drivers to make intelligent choice of lanes to reach their destination faster.
This new update will be available to Android, iOS, Bing Maps, Amazon Fire Phone users. Cars which are powered by HERE Traffic will automatically get this feature without doing anything. Developers can use HERE API to include this new feature in their custom map apps.
Android users can head to Play Store for updating their HERE maps. Total 11 U.S and European cities reversible lanes will be shown in HERE maps. Checkout the list below:
