Announced earlier in October this year, Microsoft Lumia 550 is now officially launched in India at the price of just Rs. 9,399. It will be available from December 23rd in Black and White color choices. This is a budget Windows 10 smartphone for Indian market, while couple weeks ago, the high end Lumia 950 and 950 XL were launched in India too.
Being a budget phone, it comes with mid ranged specifications but works without any glitches. It is a Dual SIM phone coming out of the box with Windows 10 for Phones and features a 4.7 inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Microsoft has powered it up with 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM. It has internal 8GB storage but can be expanded up to 200GB using microSD card.
The Lumia 550 carries a 5 Megapixel rear camera with Auto focus, LED flash and f/2.4 aperture capable to record up to 720p HD videos. There is also a 2 Megapixel front-facing shooter with f/2.8 aperture for selfie fans. As per connectivity, it is a 4G LTE enabled phone also supporting 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS / aGPS and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. Lumia 550 is running on 2100mAh removable battery.
