Lenovo has launched a new educational tablet for kids, named ‘Lenovo CG Slate’. It is exactly the ‘Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20‘ released again with new name and loaded with educational apps and contents such as video stories, digital books, worksheets and games based on the NCERT syllabus. The tablet is priced at Rs. 8,499, but first 1000 tablets will be available at discounted price of Rs. 7,499 online via Flipkart.
Talking about the device, Lenovo CG Slate comes out of the box running Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and features a 7 inch IPS display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8127 processor coupled up by 1GB of RAM and Mali-450 GPU that can offer good multitasking and performance. As per storage, CG Slate comes in 8GB and 16GB internal storage variant which can be further expanded up to 32GB using microSD card.
In the camera department, Lenovo CG Slate carries a 2 Megapixel primary camera and a 0.3 Megapixel front facing camera for video calling and conferencing. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB connectivity. Lenovo has powered the tablet with 3450mAh battery.
