Many new manufacturers appeared with their own android device to give best for consumers. Celkon is one of them that are also in the race of providing some high end android Smartphone with great feature and budget price. Somehow it is hard to decide whether we must go with some brand that we do not know much about. Celkon is an India mobile phone manufacture who has its base in Hyderabad, India. The company claims to be 6th largest mobile manufacturer in India and they really have some impressive plan to expand more. Celkon has released many budget phones. This time they bring Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455. It also fall in the same budget line that brings decent feature at a price of Rs.8000. I am quite sure that is an attractive price.
Being a mid range phone Vogue Q455 can be ideal for your day to day usage. If we talk about a few similar phones in the market then we have Moto E which is another budget device released by Google in India and it is quiet popular also. Design and Packaging:
Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 will not surprise you much from the hardware and design. It is a kind of entry level phone that falls in the mid range category. When we talk about mid range then we have to assume that you are going to have a phone which will provide you a good feature based on day to day activities. That counts calling, internet surfing, chatting, etc. But not the extreme performance where you are thinking about using lots of application and playing lots of games. Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 offers you a 4.5-inch qHD display.
This screen is good enough to give you a decent resolution of 960 x 540 pixels at 244 ppi. The screen is not very bright not very dull. It is simple and good enough to provide you smooth readability. The display is built on one-glass-solution technology. That makes it a bit thin in design. The screen has a good quality text output and the touch screen is also fast responsive. At full brightness you can see all the text and images clearly. You won’t have to put much strain on your eyes to read stuff on the same. The screen gives a glossy cover that can capture your fingerprint and dust very fast. Using a good quality screen guard will be a lot more helpful.
The body consist mostly a plastic cover. That means it is not durable. It was expected as being having a budget phone. But you get a big screen size here compare to a 4inch display which is very common in this price series. The device brings dual camera. A 1.3mp is placed on the front that is not very great. The camera provides you VGA resolution where image quality is not amazing. Light sensor sits next to it. The screen has the capacitive buttons that are very common with backlight. Sleek design makes the phone attractive to some extent. It makes it a bit catchy in look. The power and volume button are on the right side which are easily cacheable. At the top side lies the 3.5mm audio jack with micro usb port at the bottom side.
At the backside you have a glossy finish. That makes the device slippery if you are having wet hands. So take care. Or the best thing you can do is use a durable back cover. Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 gives you a nice 8-megapixel primary camera module on the back with single LED flash. We will discuss more about the camera in detail later.
Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 runs on a 2000mAh removable battery. You can see that after removing the back cover. It has dual sim slot inside with SD card. Among two sim one is micro and other one is mini. I found Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 a good device at the cost. Celkon is quiet not overcharging you and giving fewer features.
Camera Quality:
Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 has an average camera quality. The entire phone runs on stock android operating system. A good point here is that you are getting android KitKat update out of the box. The camera app is based on the same stock UI. And this does not bring many features. The 8-megapixel camera on the backside is good to take pictures in broad daylight. And do not shake your hand much while taking the photos. You will get decent images with good colors on the same.
The camera brings auto focus also. For low light image I found the camera big complicated to use. You can simply record 1080p HD resolution from the same. For a budget camera it is not good to expect much about the camera. Moto E falls in the same range that has a 5mp camera and here Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 gives you 8MP camera.
UI & Features:
Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 runs on the stock android operating system that brings almost all basic features to the phone. Optimized UI means a lot of new features but it look Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 has enough things to go for. If you had used android KitKat based phone then you can assume the same kind of UI on this device. The settings are easy to use and you have simple home screen customization option.
Other than this you get Google Play to install a lot of new things on it. You can simply use a different launcher to make things more appropriate. The device is powered by Quad Core Processor and 1GB ram. That makes it a good phone. The device has as 16GB internal storage and you get around 11.44GB to use. I am quite sure that is more than enough. You can use different applications on the same and you can also play a few games.
The stock music and video player is capable of playing all type of video and audio files. Dual sim phone management is quiet good. This is a common stuff in many phones. Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 comes with all kind of connectivity options and it also provides you usb on the go feature. That means you can connect an usb to the phone and use it like storage.
