Huawei yesterday launched a new and probably thier first Phablet named “Ascend Mate” with large 6.1 inch HD IPS display offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and protected with Corning Gorilla glass. Dont know what could be the reason that they powered the device with Android 4.1 Jellybean whereas all new smartphones are getting launched with latest Android 4.2. The Phablet is powered with 1.5 GHz quad-core Hi-Silicon K3V2 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16-core GPU making the devices powerful not only in performance and multitasking but also in gaming. Huawei Ascend Mate also comes with 8 Megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus and LED flash along with a 1 Megapixel HD front facing camera for making video calls. We get 8GB of internal storage with the device that can be expanded further with SD Card. The new phablet also seems good in connectivity with options like 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, dual band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and GPS.
