A 27-year-old former professional golfer, Paige Spiranac, recently revealed her struggles to find a partner that won’t date her just because of her golf playing skills.
Although she hasn’t competed since 2016, she frequently treats her 2.4 million Instagram fans with very appealing snaps.
On her own podcast, called “Playing-A-Round,” Paige explained some of her past dating issues: “I would always open up a conversation with, ‘Hey I play golf’ and anything along those lines and I thought that it would work.”
“Unfortunately, guys were using me for golf lessons, golf equipment and golf balls,” she added.
Then she described how their conversation would continue: “‘So Paige, let’s go out on a golf date. I’ll take you to this driving range and we can just hit golf balls’ and I’d be like, ‘Yeah, that sounds awesome.’ It would turn into an hour lesson of me just helping the guy become a better golfer.”
“That happened all the time, since I was desperate and I wanted guys to like me,” the 27-year-old confessed.
But luckily for Paige, the tables have turned, and she is now happily engaged with someone who does not take advantage of her golf playing skills.
