After being in rumors and leaks for so long, finally OnePlus 5 is launching in India on 22nd June. The launch event is scheduled for the date at The National Sports Club of India (NSCI) Dome in Worli, Mumbai by OnePlus and has also started sending out Invites. However, it will revealed in other countries 2 days earlier on June 20th. Here’s the invitation:
So, finally the wait is going to over soon. OnePlus has also brought an offer like always. They are giving away Five OnePlus 5 smartphones for free to users who setup SMS alert to watch the Launch Event Live.
The new OnePlus 5 will be available for purchase via Amazon.in on the same day. In fact the phone will be launched at 2 PM and it will be up for sale by 4.30 PM on the same day. That’s pretty fast and impressive.
As of now, there is no confirmed specs or pricing available for the phone, but by @evleaks on his twitter page, he confirmed that the Indian variant of OnePlus 5 which will be Amazon exclusive will come with massive 8 GB of RAM. Its other specifications that we know as of now is 2.5D curved glass screen, Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, fingerprint sensor, Android 7.1 Nougat and a large front camera sensor.
Its first press render unveils Dual Rear Camera Setup, like most of the flagships now a days. The phone looks really good in Black with the horizontal Dual camera setup having a LED flash to the right and a secondary microphone. We can also see the three stage alert slider with volume rockers. Over all OnePlus 5 designs seems very much similar to the iPhone 7.
