Spice has launched a new budget smartphone called ‘Proton 5’. Priced at just Rs 5,999, it comes out of the box running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and features a 5 inch HD display protected with DragonTrail Glass offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 294 PPI pixel density. Spice has powered Proton 5 with 1.3GHz Quad-core processor coupled up with 1GB of RAM. The phone has 8GB internal storage memory and supports MicroSD card up to 32GB.
Spice Proton 5 carries a 13 Megapixel primary camera and a 5 Megapixel front facing camera for video calling and Selfies. In terms of connectivity, it supports only basic connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB. The phone is powered on 2000mAh battery 4 hours of talk time. I dont think the phone will be preferred by most of the people because in the same price range, there are so many smartphones that comes with better specification in terms of processor, ram, as well as 4G connectivity.
