Sony launched two new mid ranged smartphone in its R series named ‘Xperia R1’ and ‘Xperia R1 Plus’. Priced at Rs. 12990, the new Xperia R1 dedicated dual nano SIM slots and is running on Android 7.1 Nougat which will be soon upgraded to latest Android 8.0 Oreo via OTA update. Surprisingly there doesn’t seems to be any Fingerprint sensor on this phone.
The new Xperia R1 sports a 5.2 inch HD 2.5D curved glass display offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered with Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit Mobile Platform teamed up by Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM with 16GB (UFS) internal storage memory. You can expand the storage up to 128GB using microSD card.
Under camera section, Xperia R1 brings us a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor Sensor and Predictive Hybrid Autofocus. For Selfie lovers it has an 8 Megapixel front-facing camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus offering better selfies. We also get FM radio with 3.5mm audio jack for music on the go.
