Oppo has launched its new Flagship smartphone called ‘Oppo R15’, along with its superior variant named ‘Dream Mirror Edition’. Oppo R15 is priced approximately at $475 while the Dream Mirror Edition costs $520 approximately. These are high end smartphones with Dual Cameras, latest Android OS and Super-V display.
Packed inside 1.78mm narrow frame, the phone comes with Glass Back, while the Mirror Edition comes with ceramic body. It features a beautiful 6.28 inch Full HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio OLED display offering 2280 × 1080 pixels resolution with 90% screen-to-body ratio. While some call it Full View display or Infinite display, Oppo calls it Super-V Display. It comes with Fingerprint sensor adding better security to the phone and its contents.
Oppo R15 is a Dual SIM phone with Hybrid slots running on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 custom UI. Oppo has powered it up with Octa Core MediaTek Helio P20 12nm processor (Quad 2GHz Cortex A73 + Quad 2GHz Cortex A53 CPUs) accompanied by ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and massive 6GB of RAM making the phone powerful enough for smoother multitasking and performance. We don’t even need to worry much about the storage since the phone itself carries onboard 128GB storage memory and further supports up to 256GB microSD card for expansion.
Coming to photography, Oppo R15 brings us a 16 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.6″ Sony IMX519 sensor, 1.22μm pixel size and EIS along with Secondary 5 Megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. It has AI Intelligent Scene Recognition that can recognize 16 kinds of scenes and 120 kinds of multi-scene combinations and also comes with AI portraits with built-in AI chip. On the other hand, Dream Mirror Edition has 20 Megapixel Secondary camera with f/1.7 aperture. Since Oppo is known as Selfie expert, they have provided 20 Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture on this phone.
As per connectivity, being a flagship phone, Oppo R15 supports almost all major connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. The phone is powered with 3450mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charging support which can boost up the battery for up to 2 hours of talk time in just 5 minutes of charge.
