Redmi Go is the talk of the town right now. Redmi which is the sub brand of Xiomi has finally announced the phone by its official twitter account. The details of the phone were revealed on Tuesday by sharing the images of phone. The image indicates that the phone will be available in two colours Black and Blue.
It is speculated that the phone will be operated on Android Go platform but there are no official words on it from companies’ side. 5-inch HD screen with 16:9 aspect ratio is the screen size of Redmi Go, which is powered by unspecified quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It’s been in the air that the processor is Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 425 SoC.
Redmi Go specifications
It is first of Redmi’s kind to come pre-loaded with Android-Go. The specifications are not known currently, but it is known that they will be satisfactory as Android Go is designed for low-end phones with as little as 1GB of RAM.
The Redmi Go is powered by Qualcomm’s unspecified quad-core Snapdragon SoCpaired with up to 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports QuickCharge 4.
It has double camera setup and promises good low light performance. The dual camera includes 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash as well as 5-megapixel front camera. The operating system of the phone would be Android 8.1 Oreo, but not sure as there are no such news by Xiomi.
It comes with a 5-inch HD screen with a resolution of 2340×1080. As of now there are no official announcement of when the phone is going to be launch, including the information about the markets where the phone will be available.
Another website called WinFuture which is a German based website claimed that Redmi Go’s other specifications will include 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using the external storage such as microSD card slot. The customers will see the exact specifications such as dual-SIM support, a Micro-USB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4G LTE connectivity, as per previous versions of Redmi.
Th website has claimed that Redmi will start the sale on Redmi Go phones in across Europe in February. The smartphone may range with price less than EUR 80 (approx. Rs. 6,500).
Although for the regular pricing of Redmi Go, there are no verdict from the company.
