Launched couple of weeks ago Motorola Moto G is the latest mid ranged smartphone from Motorola available at the price of $179. The phone features a 4.5-inch edge-to-edge touch screen display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It offers 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 329 ppi density offering brighter and sharper output. Motorola has powered the phone with 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU along with 1GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU making the device not only good in performance and multitasking but also in Gaming. It is a Dual SIM phone running on Android 4.3 JellyBean operating system but will be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat very soon. With Moto G users also get a 5 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash capable to record HD 720p video recording at 30fps. There is also a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for making video calls and conferencing. As per storage Moto G comes in two different variants, that is 8GB and 16GB built-in storage memory. It also seems good in connectivity with support of 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS.
To make the best use of the device you will require its PC suite which is very essential to carry out several important tasks such as syncing your contacts, messages, calendar, etc with PC MS Outlook or cloud services like Google. You can also connect your Moto smartphone as a modem for sharing internet over USB. This PC Suite also keeps your phone updated to the latest firmware version. There are lots more to do with this PC Suite such as syncing your music, pictures, videos, etc with PC or Backup and Restore the entire phone in just one simple click without loosing a single file. Along with the PC Suite you can also download the USB Drivers for Moto G from this page which will be required while installing Custom ROMs or rooting the phone.
Magbool, greetings from Los Angeles. I just ordered an unlocked Moto G XT1034 8GB from Ebay and want to use it fully with my PC. Is this the best replacement for Motorola PC Suite (which I hear is a waste of time)? Do you think it will work for me? I want to learn how to optimize it with rooting & custom ROM if I can (eventually) though it will take me a while to learn how to do that.
