Google released the new Android 5.0 Lollipop officially few days back and promised to release the SDK and developer preview images. As per the promise, Google has released the Android 5.0 Lollipop SDK and also made the update to the Developer Preview Images for the Nexus 5 and for the nexus 7 2013 version.
The release has come now after the Android L SDK preview which was release at the Google I/O. There are approximately 5000 new API’s in the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. For getting the SDK for Android Lollipop, you can go to the SDK Manager and click on the Tools tab with SDK Tools, SDK Platform-Tools and SDK Build-Tools. Make the selection for everything that you find under the Android 5.0 Lollipop section. After everything is selected and ready to download and install, accept the licensing agreement and click install on the page.
Now the developer can develop the apps for the Android 5.0 Lollipop and can use the features of the material design as the final API’s Level 21 has been out now. The Android 5.0 Lollipop is currently available on the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player and soon more devices will be supported for the new Android OS release. The next devices to receive the update for Android 5.0 Lollipop will be the old gen Nexus devices and Google Play Edition devices.
