Samsung announced its latest “A” series smartphone, A5 and A3 each having mid ranged specs and they are totally made up of metal unibody and they are the slimmest smartphones under Samsung Electronics measuring upto 6.7mm and 6.9mm respectively. But recently Oppo has made their way to the top by announcing OPPO R5 the slimmest phone in the world measuring 4.85mm.
Both of the smartphones A5 and A3 have some similar specs like the CPU which is clocked at 1.2GHz and its based on Quad core, but yet the manufacturer of the cpu is not known. It can be the Snapdragon which now-a-days seems to be common in almost every smartphone but it could be also their own Exynos SoCs CPU which was used by them in past.
They both have 16 GB of internal storage and an expandable storage up to 64 GB. The devices are running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, however as of now there are no rumors about receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Both of these models have 5MP of front facing Camera with wide-angel lens for clicking better selfies. Galaxy A5 has 2 GB of Ram and A3 has 1 GB of Ram.
Samsung Galaxy A5 covers of 5.0-inch HD super AMOLED screen with 720 x 1280p resolution and up to 294ppi whereas Galaxy A3 consists of 4.5inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 540 x 960p resolution up to 245ppi. Galaxy A5 has 13mp of rear camera with LED flash with autofocus feature in-built and Galaxy A3 has 8mp rear camera with LED flash and both of these have the power to record video at 1080p at 30fps.
Battery on Galaxy A5 has the capacity of packing 2300 mAh of power and 1900 mAh that of Galaxy A3. Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC are supported on both the devices but only in LTE version and supports sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity, Geo-magnetic, RGB ambient light and Hall sensor.Let’s have a look at specifications of each A smartphones:

Yet the Date and price is still not announced but Samsung has promised that these smartphones would be available widely from November 2014 onwards including China. Talking about style both the smartphones comes with different colors like Pearl White, Midnight Black, Champagne Gold, Soft pink, Platinum Silver, Light Blue colors.
