At one side there is a 5 Megapixel on the front. Great camera for taking selfies. And on the other side a 13MP camera for better picture quality. In daylight images are great. They are brighter. And in dark using the flash is going to help you the most.
After using the tablet for camera I am quite happy with the image output. It is not very bad. As per the price the camera quality is good here. You can also take HDR shots through the default camera app. Here f/2.2 aperture plays a very important role in getting clear pictures. The front camera is also decent to for video calling. I had tested a few videos by recording them at 1080p @ 30fps. And I am quite happy with the quality.
Hardware & Performance:
Huawei Honor X1 runs on ARM’s Cortex A9 clocked at 1.6 GHz processor. It has ARM Mali 450 GPU and 2GB ram. The overall output of this tablet is quiet impressive. You can run various games and install different apps on the same. It has a quad core cpu which gives you a power of 1.6Ghz on every core. All type of games work well really on the same. If the ram was limited to 1GB then it was for sure that different apps and games will surely lag on it. The internal storage is around 16GB. And you an extend the storage by adding a memory card on the same.
The hardware is not very decent here, but still the tablet is able to cope with the performance and offer you a great deal of pure performance. The tablet also brings DLNA app support on the same. A few pre-installed apps like King soft Office can help you for day to day work. Through Google Play you can install various other apps enhancing the tablet output more.
This tablet comes with MicroSim slot. Where you can add 3G sim on the same and there are also other common connectivity options like Wifi, Bluetooth and gps. And the micro usb port of the tablet is supported by USB on the go. I am quite happy with the performance of Huawei Honor X1. A few benchmarking results shows that is capable of running various games with ease.
Battery Life:
Huawei Honor X1 runs on a large battery. This fulfills your day to day need. This tablet is loaded with 5000mAh battery which works for longer period. You don’t have to worry about calling and for internet usage. You can keep your 3G on all the time. A mixed usage of everything can offer you a battery life of more than 8 hours which include gaming.
And if you use that wisely then you can go ahead to use this table for more than 12+ hours. That is actually a truth about the tablet. It also features fast charging. Within a few hours the tablet will be loaded with maximum battery to give you long lasting usage.
Conclusion:
Huawei Honor X1 is an amazing performance tablet. It is really hard to find such kind of models in the market which can give you an all round output. Means good battery, good gaming, good multi-tasking, nice UI, etc. At a cost of Rs.20,000/- this is not a bad deal.
But it would be great if this tablet comes loaded with Android 5.0 soon or it can be a update for the same. Or else this tablet gets overpriced compared to a few models in the market. Soon there are more models coming at cheaper rate and with the latest android UI. Honor X1 can win if it can give Android 5.0 update fast to its buyers.
