Design & Packaging:

Meizu M2 Note is a budget mobile phone. This device has some good looks. Being a Chinese phone it does not have any kind of poor build material that actually matters the most in Indian market. The device is slim and is easy to handle. At the front this device has a 5.5inch display that is protected by Tempered glass. This adds an extra level of protection and the body is mostly of plastic that comes in different colors.

The device also has a clickable home button at the bottom. Other keys are capacitive. The clickable home button also brings a fingerprint sensor, this is a good features under a budget price. A 5MP camera is on the front that offers a 1080p video recording. Proximity and light sensors are on the top in line with camera. At the left you can see the volume button with power key. Sim slots are placed on the right side.

This device supports two Sim cards. In the package you will get a sim ejector. So always use that in order to avoid any issues with slot removal. There is also a slot for Micro SD card that is placed at the same section. The top section has audio jack and a secondary microphone. The bottom section has the USB port for charging and speaker grill. 13MP camera is on the back of the phone with dual led flash.

Meizu M2 Note has an impressive design. It looks similar to Note 2 but it is a bit different. 5.5inch display is good here to do a lot of work. The body has smooth finish. This device looks classy. It has a removable back cover. You can see the 3000mAH battery inside. There are different color choice also available for the back panel. Like you can go with Grey, White, Blue and Pink.

Display:

Meizu M2 Note is having a 5.5inch amazing screen with IGZO panel. This panel was also used in the older series. Compared to what we have today this display panel at a price of Rs. 9000 is not bad at all. The display offers you maximum resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels @ 403ppi. I do not really find it low end screen quality.

Sharpness of Meizu M2 is good, it also has a decent viewing angle, and touch quality. You can read text, play games, you can also watch videos on that. The quality is somehow maintained but the display. It works much better if the contrast is maximum. The tampered protection glass is very helpful to protect the screen from scratches. The device has its own custom UI and runs on Android 5.0 OS. Most of the features are based on stock android OS.

Camera Quality:

Dual camera is one of the most common feature that many phones have today. In a similar way Meizu M2 Note has the same dual camera pattern. We have a 13MP camera on the back and 5MP camera on the front. This dual camera helps you to take impressive pictures.

The front as usually does not have a flash so when you take picture try to keep your face in more light, so that you get a very clear and bright picture. The back camera, which has 13MP, has dual led flash support. Using too much flash can eat your battery really fast.

Hardware & Performance:

Meizu M2 Note has a Mediatek MT6753 Chipset. This chipset has Octa Core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and a Mali-T720MP3. Today if we see a budget phone, Quad Core is the most common CPU you will find. RAM at least 2GB is recommended if you are having a Android OS 5.0 or higher.

Without this configuration the device performance will be poor. In Meizu M2 Note the overall hardware is good to give this phone a boosted output. It can work well, it can handle all games and apps and it does not lag when you are using too many apps at the same. This chipset is not a high end one, but enough to boost the device output on day to day usage.

Battery Life:

Meizu M2 Note has as 3000mAH battery. Many Smartphone I have seen recently are having a higher amount of battery. One of the most common reason to have this much battery power is the big size of the phone. The phone works very well for a entire day on all round usage. Like web surfing, chatting, photos, multimedia and gaming too. But if you are using this phone only for playing games, then do not expect much. It will drain out fast.

Conclusion:

Meizu M2 Note is a budget phone. The phone costs around $130 (Rs. 8500) and is available on some international sites for pre-order. The phone is excellent from all angles, but as a budget phablet it is not right to expect too much.

The phone has ample of good features over which it gains. for instance, it has a good screen quality, it is has good build and display quality is quite good. The camera is also great. Performance wise, octa core is not bad at all. But this phone also has some low points like the loudspeaker is not very loud.
