The CEO of OnePlus has made a second big announcement about the price of the company’s upcoming OnePlus 2. Earlier in September, Pete Lau officially announced that the price of Oneplus 2 will be less than 500 USD through Google+. Yesterday OnePlus’ official account on Twitter posted an image of CEO Pete Lau with a quote stating, “I can promise that OnePlus 2 will be priced under $450”.

Remember OnePlus 2 is scheduled to launch worldwide on July 27, in virtual reality event of OnePlus. Just to remind you OnePlus 2 will come with 5.5 inch display which gives resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and offers Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It runs out-of-the box on Android v5.1 (Lollipop) and it will be powered by advanced Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16 Megapixel of rear camera and 5 Megapixel front shooter. It will come with advanced fingerprint sensor and new USB type-C connector.
The Tweet of OnePlus which made this announcement, also reads “We’ve seen price estimates for the #OnePlus2 upwards of $500. ‘Honestly, it’s never been about the price’.” This confirms that OnePlus 2 will be priced under $450 which is approximately INR 28500.
